Roobaroo on Indian Idol is the day for just fun and masti. Here, the
contestants get to show the viewers their hidden talents. The
contestants have fun, while Mini Mathur makes sure to have fun at their
expense. There have been guests who have taken utmost care to add to
the fun quotient, like Riteish Deshmukh, Ganesh Hegde. And in this
week’s Roobaroo, it is Leslie Lewis who is the guest and he too makes
sure to keep the top four contestants' in good stead.


Viewers would get to see Prashant for the first time playing a guitar
and singing a Nepali song. Amit sings “Chand Mera Dil”, while strumming
the guitar as a pro and wooing the audience. Emon would be on the piano
and with so much going on, can anyone stop Ankita from dancing? It
would be really funny to watch her traipsing with Prashant, while
singing the song “Pyaar Hua Ikraar hua”. What's more, after watching
this diverse talent of these contestants,Leslie Lewis is really in awe
with all the four. As a mark of advise, Lewis gave them tips for the
future; this was followed by a round of musical session. With
Mini too joining in, it turned into a rocking jam session. After
watching all this, Leslie was now convinced that this Indian Idol Team,
with some good singers, musicians and dancers, can actually form a band
of their own, like Boney.M. Who knows they may really take up this idea
and we may see such a band soon!






The entertainment and excitement does not end here. The most popular
but eliminated contestant of Indian Idol, Meiyang Chang will make a
come back as a guest, much to the delight of them all. In perfect
shuddh Hindi, Chang speaks straight from his heart, just as we would
expect him to say about his views on the next Indian Idol. Without any
malice, he tells all that his first choice was Emon with Amit close
behind and this observation, he makes purely on the basis of talent. He
also joins the contestants to entertain all by singing the song “Mahive
Teri yaad aati hai re” which can now be aptly said as Chang’s song in
Indian Idol. Just for this very charming personality – Chang will be
missed for a long, long time.



So make sure that you do not miss Roobaroo on Thursday 30th August at 9.00 pm only on Sony Entertainment Television.

This week, Mini introduced an innovative musical game. She gave the contestants a situation on which they had to come up with impromptu songs. It was hilarious and Emon didn`t miss the opportunity to make everyone laugh. Amit, Chang, Prashant and Ankita did not lag behind either.


This week, Amit`s grandmother, sister and cousin were present in the audience. But the best surprise of the evening was reserved for Mini. It was her birthday and everyone acted as if they didn`t remember it until the cake was brought on stage!



For a person who likes to keep such occasions strictly private and personal, Mini had her birthday celebrated on national television. Her husband Kabir Khan was present for the occasion and he made son requests for his wife. The contestants were, of course, more than happy to oblige.

The contestants are having a great time. They enjoyed watching Chak De and the Irfaan Khan-starrer Apna Aasmaan. The experience of attending their first-ever premiere has them grinning from ear to ear.

The show started wid all the contestants alisha anu and udit dancin on a few disco songs
there was no celeb judge this time
the first one to sing was chang and he sang om shanti om
the judges were totally floored by his singing they all said it was flawless

then it was prashants turn he sang ek haseena thi
the judges didnt like it much they thought he needs to improve cos he didnt match chang's std and chang has raised the bar of the competition

third was amit and he sang some old not so popular song called "pyar aaya" something i dont really rem the song properly cos i have never ever hrd it..
the judges again praised him and said tat he was on par wid chang's performance
and javed saab said tat he was a gift to the hindi film industry..

fourth was emon he sang saara zamaana
judges liked it but thought he couldve done better and his pronunciations were worng at some places

fifth was ankita she was looking nice in a red outfit and she sang aap jaisa koi

8th GALA UPDATE...

the show started off with alishas performance on MADE IN INDIA.....she was quite fantastic with her performance.....and everyone enjoyed it to core !!!t
Then it was turn for calling out the first performer of day and it was none other than emon
Emon was really excited to perform infront of SONU NIGAM as he consider sonu his idol !!Emon performed on sonu nigams song
"tu kabe ye janegi tu ....meri mehboba tuu..meri janeja....."
judges comments were
Excelellent by sonu ..
annu said emon is chota sonu ..

Udit -app acha ga sakte the it was really good...
then after his performance sonu said i am fan of ur mimcry ....he did mimcry of javed and all judges ...
so start of show was quite awsome ...

Indian Idol goes patriotic on 10th of August with Anil Kapoor

The 8th Gala round on Indian Idol show will be all geared up with the patriotic flavor and to encourage the participants is none other than the producer of Gandhi My Father —Mr Anil Kapoor. The film has got a heart-warming response from the media and the box office too.

The contestants will be all set to rock the nation with patriotic songs to show their love to their country. Deepali kickstarts the show with Dhol bajne Laga song on which Annu Malek pronounced her a worthy contender of the title. Anil Kapoor confessed he got gooseflesh with Amit Paul’s rendition of Yeh jo des hai mera from Swades. Chang, who has been nicknamed Chingu Mingu by Alisha, won her heart with Baar baar haan … from Lagaan. Incidentally, Chang had an opportunity to visit an NGO and teach the little inmates the importance of dental care how to brush their teeth right! Emon once again rocked the show with his flawless performance. He sang Yehi rasta hai tera from Lakshya making it very clear to his competition that he means business. Annu Malik who is always full praise for Emon commented him as a hallmark of a great singer. Anil Kapoor gave full marks to Ankita for her rendition of the title track of Phir bhi dil hai Hindustani. The stage shy Anil Kapoor was not too happy to be called on stage to shake a leg with Anky Baby. But the show stealer was Prashant whose Zindagi maut na ban jaaye came straight from the heart and Annu Malik doffing his hat to the best performer of the day.

Indian Idol Independence Day special has some great singing some heart rendering performance. So high was the spirit for the love of the nation that Anil Kapoor could not resist and displayed his singing prowess too by singing Dil diya hai jaan bhi denge from his film Karma.
Well just when the viewers think that the show has come to an end Sony Tv threw another googly by bringing one of the India’s finest cricketers Ajay Jadeja to the show. He came, danced and left after some sound piece of advice to all the contestants.
